Description +

Most kitchen scales give you a number in grams and leave the rest to you. This one reads out the full nutrition panel on the scale itself: calories, protein, carbs, fat, saturated fat, fibre, sugars, sodium, potassium and cholesterol. Put the food on, read the protein, log it. It measures in 0.1g increments across a 10kg range on a stainless steel platform.

How to use +

Place your bowl on the platform and press tare. The display returns to zero. Add your ingredient and read the weight and the nutrition panel. Press tare again to zero for the next one. For the barcode scanner, the food database and daily logging, pair the scale over Bluetooth with the VeSync app. Weigh food raw unless the database entry specifies cooked.

Do I need the app? Yes, for the nutrition side. The app is how you tell the scale what you're weighing, by scanning a barcode or searching the food database. The scale then shows the weight and the full breakdown on its display. Without the app it still works as a plain 0.1g kitchen scale.

Which app is it? VeSync, free on the App Store and Google Play. It is made by the app's developer rather than by us.

Raw or cooked? Raw, unless the database entry says cooked. Cooking changes water content, not calories, so raw weighed raw is the most consistent approach.

How accurate is it? 0.1g increments across the full 10kg range.

I already weigh pretty much everything I eat, so this saves me a lot of checking back and forth on my phone. Seeing the nutrition right on the scale is really convenient.
